Imphal, July 22 2020: With the state government likely to enforce total lockdown for more 14 days after the COVID-19 Pandemic spread far and wide across the state particularly in Thoubal district, people started panic buying of essential commodities particularly petroleum products.

Petrol pump at many places here in Imphal saw long queue of both four wheeler and two wheeler vehicles.

The situation of the COVID-19 crisis is becoming serious in the last couple of days with people who have no travel history were tested positive.

At Lilong and many parts of Thoubal district people who have no travel history were tested positive and even staffs of health service center like RIMS have been detected with the virus when tested.

Govt may take some stringent lockdown measure measures to break the chain for spread of the virus.
