Poll preparedness: First round of training concludes at CCpur

Churachandpur, January 22 2022:
As many as 2424 personnel, who will be deployed as Presiding Officers and Polling Officers in the 6 Assembly Constituencies of Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts, completed the first round of training on Saturday at Churachandpur Government College.
During the training, 14 master trainers conducted audio-visual demonstration on the duties of polling personnel and hands-on training on the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in 6 training halls with 2 sessions per day since January 18, 2022 .
S Thienlaljoy Gangte, Training Coordinator said that the training was well executed with the help of Lalrongbawl, Nodal Officer (Training) and other supporting staff apart from the master trainers.
He also stated that the second round of training will tentatively be conducted from February 2, 2022 .
Show cause notices have been sent to the absentees of the training.
The DEO in the virtual Nodal Officers Meeting yesterday stated that appropriate action will be taken against the absentees as per extant rules.
Six Assembly Segments within Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts will go to poll in the first phase on February 27 .
The total number of electors in these six ACs is 221362.Out of the six ACs, 58-Churachandpur AC has the highest number of electors with 64095 voters while 56-Thanlon with 17926 voters has the lowest number of electors.
The total number of Polling Stations within the two districts is 357 .
