Imphal, September 20 2012: A team of Imphal East district police commandos arrested one KYKL cadre identified as Loutongbam Maradona alias Rajebchandra Meitei (26) s/o (L) L Deben Meitei of Paorabi Makha Leikai along with one Beefone mobile handset from Paorabi area yesterday around 1.25pm.A statement issued by the SP of Imphal East claimed that the arrested man joined the outfit in 2007 through one Sunder and got training at Talou (Burma) under instructor Cpl Babulu of KYKL.

He was assigned A No 645 of 26 Batch.

The statement added that the arrested man is now working for KCP (Lalheiba) group through one Bhagat and he had collected Rs 60,000 from a Brick kiln of Waiton Tomba last month and he was involved in extortion of money from the public, Govt officials, etc.

Meanwhile, three militants including two women were arrested by Thoubal district police commandos at Pallel bazar today.

The militants were arrested while taking a minor for recruitment as child soldier for banned UG organisations to Myanmar via Moreh through Pallel, said a statement issued by the SP of Thoubal.

The arrested militants were identified as Phairenbam Jiten Singh (40) s/o Ph Manichou of Wangoo Naodakhong; Phairenbam (O) Tababi Devi alias Ningboi Mate (38) s/o Ph Jiten and Lamshi Guite (30) d/o (L) Ngamjang Guite of Laijon Veng, Tuibong, Churachandpur.

The police team also rescued a minor identified as Moirangthem Abung (16) s/o (L) M Samjal Singh of Wangoo Naodakhong, it stated.
