Rs 50,000 donated to heart patient

Volunteers of the United Youths of Heirok (UYH) have handed over a sum of Rs 50,000 to Sanabam Bankimchandra (23) who is currently battling a serious cardiovascular disease.
Sanabam Bankimchandra is the son of Sanabam Lokeshor and Sanabam Ongbi Pushparani from Ningomthong Kitna Panung in Imphal East.
The total sum of Rs 50,000 was donated by UYH members as well as generous individuals who made donations for Bankimchandra through UYH.
According to Bankimchandra's mother Pushparani, he was first diagnosed with heart disease at 12 years old.
Since then, they have sought treatment at Sky Hospital, Shija Hospital with Bankimchandra most recently receiving treatment from RIMS Hospital.
As per the doctors, Bankimchandra requires a major heart surgery which will cost anywhere between Rs 12 to 15 lakhs.
The operation will also need to be performed outside the State, she said.
She expressed gratitude towards UYH for their help while wishing them blessings from the Almighty.
