KVK CCpur launches training / input distribution programme

CCpur, September 14 2022:
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Churachandpur in collaboration with ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre today organised a 3-days training cum input distribution programme under Aspirational Village Programme on "Nursery management of high value vegetable crops" at KVK Training hall, Pearsonmun.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Dr I Meghachandra Singh, Joint Director, ICAR-RC for NEH Region, Manipur Centre to uplift the socio-economic development of Aspirational Village in Churachandpur, said a release issued by KVK CCpur.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr L Somendro Singh, Head i/c, KVK-Churachandpur highlighted the importance of the training programme and urged the farmers to utilize the knowledge gained in the training to generate more income.

In the technical session, Dr Ch Premabati Devi, Scientist, Division of Horticulture, ICAR-RC for NEH Region, Manipur Centre delivered a lecture on the topic, "Scientific cultivation of Garden Pea variety Arkel" .
Ph Chandramani Singh, SMS (Horticulture), KVK-Churachandpur conducted a Hands-on training on "Vegetable seed sowing methods and its management of High value vegetable crops" .
As part of the event, 100 kg of pea variety Arkel along with other winter vegetable seeds, micro nutrients, hand sprayer, water canes and spades were distributed to the farmers.
The programme culminated with a vote of thanks by Manngaikim, Programme Assistant.
