Free six-month remedial coaching kicks off

Imphal, January 14 2025:
A 6-month free remedial coaching under CM's "Lairik Heiminnashi Programme" was kicked off today at TG Higher Secondary School.
The coaching class was funded by the Department of Minority Affairs, OBC & SC for Classes XI and XII (Post Matric) with MOBEDS as the implementing agency.
School bags and stationery items including geometry boxes were distributed to students on the occasion.
Speaking as the chief guest of the function, H Bhabananda Sharma, Joint Director, Department of Minority Affairs.
OBC & SC, said that the remedial coaching class has been implemented across many schools in both hills and valley districts.
He expressed faith that it will academically help students from poor and disadvantaged households.
Md Alam, APO, MOBEDS and Scheme Officer of 6-months remedial coaching, said that each coaching class will comprise 40-44 students.
Altogether 200 students of the school from Classes XI and XII will take part in remedial coaching classes, he shared.
Dr Binita Devi Elangbam, Principal, TG Higher Secondary School graced the event as the functional president while Linda Ningombam, Joint Director, Department of Minority Affairs, OBC & SC as the guest of honour.
TG Higher Secondary School vice-principal Femina also graced the occasion.
Meanwhile, Sparkle Edu Services general manager Rose Kennedy Longjam provided career guidance counselling to the students.
