Classes of Mt Everest Hr Sec School to begin from Oct 15

Following the directions by the Government under 'Unlock 5.0', the school management and staff of Mt Everest Higher Secondary School, Senapati have accepted to face the challenges owing to the pandemic and reopen the school from October 15 onwards.
In this regard, an emergency meeting was called between the school and parents/guardians of class IX and X students today.
During the meeting, member secretary of the school and college, Khuveiru Alex while expressing gratitude for the positive response stated that the school is ready to open phase wise for classes IX and X starting from October 15 .
She asserted that all infrastructures have been sanitized including school bus, classrooms, washrooms and will be sanitized everyday after classes while also maintaining the SOPs by the Health Department like use of face masks, sanitizers and maintaining physical distance even in the classrooms.
Arjun Pradhan, Principal asserted that gathering or assembly of students would be avoided in any manner and that the existing one section of class consisting of around 60 students would be divided into 2 sections with around 30 students in each class.
The Principal also asked the parents and guardians to give advice to their children every now and then.
Gonmei Meithuanlungpou, acting Principal stated that online classes were introduced for the past 7 months though not upto perfection.
Gonmei also asked the parents and guardians not to send wards to classes at any cost if sick.
While stressing the need to guide the present students, Dr Alexander Pao, president of the school, stated the need for joint effort of both teachers and parents during this challenging time.
