NSCN(IM) unveils monolith

Imphal, March 12 2025: The monolith erection ceremony in honour of Late Col (retd) AS Ngaranmi, former kilonser of NSCN (IM), was held on March 10 at Ayotang, Ringui village in Ukhrul district.

The ceremony was graced by general Ningkhan Shimray, MC, VC Longvibu (chief of the army staff), Naga Army, NSCN (IM) as chief guest.

Major general (retd.) RVS Shangam, MC steering executive member and major general (retd.) RS Chinaoyo, MM, MC steering executive member of NSCN (IM) were the guest of honour and special guest.

Host of dignitaries from United Naga Council (UNC), All Naga Students' Association, Manipur, (ANSAM), Naga Women's Union, TNL, TSL, TMNL, Zingtun Katamnao Long, TWL, headmen from neighbouring villages, village elders and leaders from different social and religious organisations also attended the programme.

The event was marked by the maiden visitation of gen Ningkhan Shimray, MC, VC at Ringui village and unveiling the memorial monolith of late colonel (retd) AS Ngaranmi.

The programme was chaired by AC Thotso, secretary of the Working Committee of UNC .

The act of unveiling the monolith was done by the chief guest.

The ceremony began with a rendition by Ningshang Ngakang.

At the ceremony, Ningkhan Shimray offered his honour to AS Ngaranmi.
