Dr Palin feted

Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (SHRI) Chairman and Managing Director Dr Kh Palin was felicitated as an iconic figure who has contributed to uplift the healthcare scenario of the North East region on the concluding day of North East Festival yesterday.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki presented a citation to Dr Palin at the function attended by various State and Central Government Ministers and bureaucrats.
The citation mentioned his tremendous contribution in bringing quality healthcare to North East States.
His medical feat included inclusion in Guinness Book of World Records for excision of largest neck tumour in the world and also for successful re-implantation of totally amputated hands for the first time in North East India.

The citation glorified Dr Palin as among few persons who have ably held the name of the region high.
Along with Dr Palin, Jadav Payng, popularly known as the 'Forest Man of India', Habib Choudhury, who hails from NE India and has made 300 million investment in Laos, Android creator Siddhant and Adil Hussain of Life of Pi fame were also feted at the function.
