Imphal, September 10 2017: Rotary Club Imphal organised its 43rd Spot Painting Competition at Rotary Bhavan, Mantripukhri, today .

A total of around 350 students from Imphal West and Imphal East participated in the competition .

Speaking at the event, Rotary Club Imphal president Elendra Thoudam said that the competition has been organised with the aim of developing the artistic talents hidden in the students .

The competition was divided into three categories namely category A for class 1 to 3 students, category B for students from class IV to VI and category C for students from class VII to X .

The competition theme was open for category A while students of category B and C competed under the themes Save Forest and Unity and Diversity respectively .

Malemnganbi Ningthoujam (Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School), Angelica Ningthoujam (Bal Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School) and Yaiphaba Ningthoujam (Heritage Convent) secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively for category A while Martin Tongbram (Pitambara English School), Helendro Thoudam (Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School) and M Thoithoiba (Regular English High School) secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots for category B .

Laiphrakpam Rohit Singh (Don Bosco Higher Secondary School), Aheibam Puja Devi (Kendriya Vidyala Lamphelpat) and Ningthoujam Narmada Devi (Heritage Convent) secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots respectively for category C .
