Imphal, August 10, 2014: DESAM distributed meritorious awards to the winners of the first Environmental Written Quiz Competition organised by the DESAM Kakching Khunou Unit council and Pangantabi Wangoo Unit Council on July 13, 2014. The prize distribution ceremony was held today Kakching Khunou College.

The ceremony was presided by M Raghumani Meitei, Chairperson, Kakching Khunou Municipal Council as Chief guest and DESAM H/Q General secretary P Premchandra Singh as president and Kakching Khunou College Principal Dr P Ibetombi Devi, Kakching ZEO Thangkhosiem Singson and DI Rajmohn as guest-of-honours respectively.

The winners of this Quiz competition were Khumukcham Sadin Singh, Checkshapat High school, in the first position; Sanasam Niranjit Singh, Wangoo Government School, in the second position and Sheileja Thounaojam, Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalaya, Umathel, in the third position from group A.From group B, Angom Alice Devi, Bright Career Academy, secured the first place; Khumukcham England Singh, Khomdonbi Memorial English School, the second and Sarangthem Paresh Singh, JNV, the third place respectively.

In Group C, Naorem Thabung, Wangoo Govt High School, secured the first place; Loitongbam Monika Chanu, Wangoo Govt High School, the second and Thingnam Kishan Singh, Khomdonbi Memorial School, the third place.

Lastly, in Group D the meritorious students were Mayanglambam Clinton Singh, Bright Career Academy; Elangbam Sanathoi Devi, Eureka Academy and Wangkheimayum Roshibina, Eureka Academy as first second and third respectively.

Also consolation prizes were distributed to other students who participated in the competition.
