Imphal, January 10 2019:
Chief Minister N Biren Singh and the BJP Ministers of the State Government left for Delhi today to take part in the party's National convention.
The said convention will be participated by Union Ministers, BJP National level office bearers as well as State level office bearers.
BJP Manipur Pradesh office bearers have also left Imphal for Delhi to take part in the convention which will begin from tomorrow evening and conclude on Saturday, January 12 .
Speaking to The Sangai Express, a source in BJP Manipur Pradesh claimed that before the start of the convention, the Ministers' team led by CM N Biren would most probably meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss about the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 as well as the Manipur Peoples' Protection Bill 2018 which is still awaiting the President's assent.
However, if the team is not able to meet the PM and the Home Minister before the convention, the meeting might occur after the convention, the source added, informing that the appointment for meeting the PM and the Home Minister was already sought during a Cabinet meeting which was chaired by the CM today.
