Saratchand Thiyam delivers two new travelogues, 'Nungshibi Myanmar' and 'Nungshibi Japan'

Imphal, April 09 2023: Two travelogues authored by Saratchand Thiyam entitled 'Nungshibi Myanmar' and 'Nungshibi Japan' were launched today at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal.

The book launch ceremony was graced by Karam Shyam, Langthabal AC MLA and Chairman of Tourism Corporation of Manipur Ltd as the chief guest; Naoroibam Indramani, president, Naharol Sahitya Premee Samiti, Imphal as the functional president and Phurailatpam Chandrakumar Sharma, Social and Cultural Activist, Myanmar Mandalay; Konsam Nonikanta Singh, executive president's team, Herbalife Nutrition; Sapam Bheigya Singh, president, Indo-Myanmar Cultural Association Manipur and Phurailatpam Nandakumar Sharma, president, Indo Japan Friendship Association as the guests of honour.

Speaking as the chief guest, MLA Karam Shyam stated that the renowned author had earlier penned two popular travelogues, namely, Nungshibi Greece and Nungshibi Bangladesh.

Refering to the two newly launched travel books, the MLA opined that these books will help readers to get a grasp of the way of life, culture and customs of other countries.

The Tourism Chairman also expressed hope that Saratchand Thiyam will write more such books detailing his experiences in many other nations.
