Transport Minister inspects IDTRC construction

Imphal, June 08 2022: Transport Minister Khashim Vashum carried out inspection of the ongoing construction work of Institute of Driver Training and Research Centre (IDTRC) Complex at Top Dusara, Imphal East today.

It is worth noting that this project was carried out by an NGO called Social Development Organisation, Kwakeithel under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways as part of the Ministry's road safety initiative.

The NGO was assigned with this project in 2016 .

Minister Khashim Vashum inspected the project site alongwith many officials and directed the relevant authority to complete the project as soon as possible.

The project which allegedly cost Rs 12.73 crore will set up facilities for civil construction, driving range, landscaping, gardening, solar lighting, workshop, generator and vehicle simulator etc.

Further, the project will also supposedly set up office, teaching and training equipment, CCTV camera, library, hostel and canteen.
