Imphal, April 08 2013: The Manipur Central Jail authority has invited all philanthropic individuals to donate reading material as a library is being set up as a correctional aid for the inmates of Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa.

According to a statement issued by SP (Prisons), IK Muivah, Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa presently does not have a library for the prisoners.

As part of rehabilitation effort, under the direction of ADGP (Prisons) MK Das, a library is being set up as a correctional aid for the inmates of Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa.

Hence, the SP invited all philanthropic individuals to donate reading materials ie religious books, inspirational books, GK, magazines, comics, etc in all languages for the reformation of the prisoners to help them towards leading a normal, reformed life after coming out from Jail.

The donors may either send by post or hand over the reading materials (second hand or new) to Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa, Khabeisoi 795114 or at Manipur Central Jail, Imphal-795001 which will be duly acknowledged, it added.
