Senapati, February 08 2021:
State forces consisting of Manipur police, Manipur Rifles and IRBs are braving inclement weather to protect Koziiri/ Dzuko.
Even without the extreme weather suits, well equipped barracks, tents or all weather amenities and facilities, the unwavering spirit of the State forces have won the accolades of many.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh took to social media to salute and applaud the State forces for the service despite the freezing and unbearable weather.
PHE Minister Losii Dikho lauded the forces for their discipline and commitment towards the State.

As assured by Chief Minister N Biren Singh last year after the wildfire incident, a base camp was established in Koziiri areas below Mount Isii (Tenipu) to accommodate the State forces to protect the areas from similar wildfires and prevent illegal activities.
Sub-Inspector Lamhingba Solomon Maram who leads the police team, informed that cold and windy weather was a normal condition since forces were deployed after the infamous Dzuko valley fire in December last year.
However, the temperature has dipped to almost -4 degree Celsius since the unexpected snowfall and thunderstorms on Sunday.
SI Solomon further informed, "We are committed to our duty and orders despite unfriendly weather.
Spirits of Manipur forces are high despite such challenges" .
