Ukhrul, September 06 2023: North East Foundation for Education & Culture (NEFEC) in association with the District Administration, Ukhrul will be organising the State Level Inter-School Education Festival at Ukhrul town from October 12-14, 2023 .

NEFEC has started necessary preparation and procedures for organising the 6th edition of the State Level Inter-School Education Festival at Ukhrul town.

In connection with the upcoming Education Festival, a press meet was held at Downtown Cafe Hamleikhong, Ukhrul today.

Secretary of NEFEC, AC Tamyo highlighted the detailed programmes and activities to be conducted during the Education Festival which will be held at UBC Jubilee hall Phungreitang, Ukhrul.

Informing that the competition is open for all students in the State, AC Tamyo said that competitions will be held on various aspects including quiz, spelling bee, painting in three categories, singing, mime, extempore speech and cultural show both for individuals and groups.

Students from classes III-XII can participate in the festival and may obtain the registration forms from September 7 onwards from NEFEC Resource Centre, Kamphasom (Near SP Quarter) , Ukhrul town.

The last date for submission of participants list/registration form is September 26 and the preliminary audition will be held on October 7, he added.

For further queries, one can contact at 7641011810/ 9378182776 during the office hours, he said.

Tamyo also informed that cash awards will be presented to all the winners and the overall team champion.

It is worth mentioning that NEFEC is a voluntary organization working for the cause of students focusing on their upliftment and welfare.

It also provides scholarships to the meritorious and hardworking students aimed at extending educational support to the needy families.

The NEFEC Secretary went on to state that the main objective of organising the education festival is to help students realise their innate talents by exposing them to public platforms through competitions.

This will liberate their mindset from classroom learning to a broader world which will in turn aid in boosting their confidence to strive for a flourishing career, he said.

He also emphasized on the importance of maintaining a healthy student-teachers relation.
