Imphal, November 05 2024: Twenty students from Andro, Yairipok, Yambem and Angtha met President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on November 4 said a release issued by PIB (Defence Wing) .

The students presented a memento to the President and shared their dreams and aspirations, expressing how life journey of the President has inspired them during the rare and memorable interaction, it said.

It further stated that the tour was undertaken by the Spear Corps of Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavna.

During the 10 day tour, the students will be visiting Agra and Lucknow after the National capital, allowing them to witness significant historical sites and further deepen their understanding of India's diverse culture.

This initiative aims to promote National integration and empower young minds through exposure to the rich cultural heritage of India and the students are scheduled to return to Imphal on November 12 said the PIB .
