Imphal, June 05 2011: A newly constructed office building cum public library of the Leimram Yaipha Lamjing Lup was inaugurated today at Leimram Shanti Bazar on the 31st foundation day of the Lup.

Speaking as chief guest at the inaugural function, Oinam Assembly constituency MLA Dr I Ibohalbi noted that population of Leimram village has been declining year after year following emigration of people from the village.

There is a need to keep the Scheduled Caste population of the village stable in order to obtain greater shares of Government schemes, he noted.

He further called upon all to work collectively instead of working separately in different groups in order to forge unity among the Meiteis, the majority community of the State.

The inaugural function was also attended by 2nd MR Deputy Commandant N Manimohon.
