Cultural campaign cum awareness programme organised

Moirang, November 04 2023: A one-day 'Cultural campaign cum awareness programme' was held today at Konjeng Junior High School at Moirang Patlou Leikai.

The programme was organised by the Temple of Art and Culture Centre, Moirang under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and the Department of Art & Culture, Government of Manipur.

The cultural campaign cum awareness programme was organised with the objective of raising awareness among the upcoming youths about Manipuri culture for the development and promotion of the rich heritage of the culture and tradition of the State.

The event was attended by Headmistress Konjeng Junior High School, Moirang M Shyama Devi; Founder cum Director of The Temple Of Art & Culture Centre Moirang Ak Sobhachandra Singh, State Awardee Lairik Thiba, Th Joy Singh and staff of the school as the presidium members.

Speaking as the resource person, Uday Narayan Awardee, A Rajmohon spoke about the role of Manipur culture in the society and its status.

He also stressed on how the culture and tradition impacts the society and the importance of knowing one's culture and upholding it.

As a part of the programme, the Temple of Art & Culture Centre, Moirang artistes enthralled the gathering through their various cultural programmes.
