Senapati, October 04 2015: A team of postal officers organised a campaign programme on Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) at Namdilong village.

The programme was graced by Vinod Kumar, Director (Posts), Manipur and Pastor of Namdilong Church Kasiliang.

Speaking at the programme, Vinod Kumar emphasised on the importance of RPLI and said that the scheme caters to the essential needs of the rural population.

He said that both Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and RPLI are available at a low premium.

Features of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeewan Jyoti Yojna and Sukanya Samridhi Yojna were also stressed during the programme by Hemanta, Inspector of Posts, Kangpokpi Sub-Division and Poireton Thokchom, Inspector of Posts.

Application forms for all the schemes were also distributed by Kanglatombi Branch Postmaster Sanjoy.

The team have been been organising campaign programme on these social welfare schemes to ensure development in rural areas.
