Imphal, August 04 2024: A Meitei man has been rescued by troops of 22 AR and 32 AR of Kangchup COB from Twikon village, Kangpokpi district under Kangchup police station at around 5 pm today .

The individual identified as L Rahul Singh was found to be in intoxicated state and had mistakenly entered the Kuki village while travelling from Imphal on a scooty.

He is said to be a Police Constable (CID) .

The AR troops deployed on duty immediately intervened sensing the possible risk to the individual's life and subsequently rescued him before the individual could fall in the hands of the warring community.

The individual was later handed over to Lamsang Police for further necessary actions.
