MoS Finance assures to look into 7th Pay demand

Union Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla has assured that the Central Government would look into the demand of State Government employees for implementation of the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
Speaking to media persons at Hotel Classic Grande this evening, Shiv Pratap Shukla stated that he had talked with Chief Minister N Biren over the issue and he had received a proposal.
Saying that employees of the State Government too deserve the 7th Pay, the Minister of State (Finance) informed that he would collect all the details of the issue and take up the matter with the Central Government.
Notably, State Government employees have been on cease strike demanding implementation of the 7th Pay.
Before the press meet, Shiv Pratap Shukla held separate meetings with bankers and officials of the Central GST& Customs.
He said that he discussed about Mudra, Stand-Up and Jan Dhan schemes with bankers.
Health insurance and life insurance schemes which have been launched by the Prime Minister were also discussed during the meeting.
He advised the bank officials to invest maximum efforts so as to achieve the targets of Mudra as well as Stand-Up.
Banks should open camps in all districts including Chandel.
The Central Government has been working to increase the monetary assistance of Rs 30,000 given under Ayushman Bharat (health insurance scheme) to Rs five lakh, Shiv Pratap Shukla said.
Rate of revenue collection has improved considerably in all the North Eastern States including Manipur following the introduction of GST.
He went on to assert that the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been paying special attention to the North East.
To a query, the MoS (Finance) said that smuggling or importing gold from neighbouring Myanmar will have little impact on the country's economy.
He said that cross-border trade between India and Myanmar was opened through Moreh after all the details were studiedjointly by the External Affairs Ministry, Home Ministry and Trade and Commerce Ministry.
