PREPAK (Pro) refutes

People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Progressive) has refuted any connection whatsoever between arrested persons - Ngangom Prabin alias Naocha (26) s/o Ng Manimohan, Nongmaithem Bocha (32) s/o Thawaijao, Nongmaithem Tomba alias Tayai (45) s/o Thaniljao and Keithelakpam Nanao alias Rosini (28) s/o late Ibomcha - and the outfit.
Prabin was arrested during a search operation conducted at Bishnupur Bazar on June 1 while Bocha was apprehended with a 9 mm pistol from Wangoo Sabal Leikai.
Nongmaithem Tomba was also arrested from Wangoo Sabal Leikai and Keithelak-pam Nanao was apprehended from Khabi Mayai Leikai.
In a press statement issued by its Senior Publicity Officer Melei, the outfit said that Kh Dhiren alias Thakappa (34) s/o Nilamani of Nambol Phoijing retired from the outfit in 2010 .
After his retirement, he has been associating with Assam Rifles in arresting persons, extorting money, intimidating families and relatives of revolutionaries, the press statement alleged.
Claim on Dhiren's arrest as a PREPAK (Pro) cadre by Manipur Police PRO is the testimony of police's fear for Assam Rifles, the press statement said.
It is now time to understand the ploy of the Government in staging home coming ceremonies to befool cadres and people, the press statement said.
