SK oil sub-dealers urge Minister

Tamengong, September 03 2016: Fair Price Shop Agent Cum SK Oil Sub Dealer Association Tamenglong has drawn the attention of CAF & PD Minister for rectification of discrepancy of monthly SK oil allocation within September 5 .

Failing which the association will be compelled to take up democratic form of agitation and any consequences of the agitation should be the sole responsibility of the authority concerned.

This was announced by Lani Pamei, president Fair Price Shop Agent Cum SK Oil Sub Dealer Association Tamenglong.

while addressing media persons at Tamenglong district HQs.

He said that the monthly allocation of SK oil for Tamenglong district is only 68 kilolitres.

There are two Agencies operating in Tamenglong district, M/S KD Agency at the district headquarters while the other one M/S Nungba Kerosene Agency operates at Nungba sub-division.

The new monthly allocation order issued by Special Secretary (CAF& PD) for July and September in respect of Tamenglong block (M/S K.D Agency, Tamenglong) is only 12 KL whereas Nungba Kerosene Agency has been allocated 56 KL for Nungba sub-division.

Tamenglong has higher population/consumers than Nungba and overlooking this bare fact, the new order has provided less to the Tamenglong Block (M/S KD Agency) which has more consumers.

The new monthly allocation of SK oil (Kerosene) is not enough for Tamenglong block, he said and added that bringing Tamei and Tousem sub-division under M/S Nungba Kerosene Agent will inconvenience the public as people have been facing road problems in Tamenglong district.

Lani Pamei also stated that sugar, wheat, etc.

are not allocated for Tamenglong district.
