Restoration of Highway almost completed

Levelling work of the highway section which sank near Heritage village, Kohima is nearing completion.
According to an official of the 15th BRTF as informed to one official of IOC's Imphal depot, the highway section would be fit for heavy vehicles by August 7 .
The convoy which left Imphal last morning via Pudunamei-Kedima bypass to ship in fuel and other essential commodities may be able to return through the sunk section as it would be fully repaired by the time they come back.
Meanwhile, it is reported that loaded oil tankers and LPG bullets which have reached Jiribam today would start for Imphal with security escorts tomorrow morning.
Till 6 this evening, 22 petrol tankers, 46 diesel tankers, 2 ATF tankers and 18 LPG bullets have reached Jiribam.
The number of oil tankers and LPG bullets which would start for Imphal from Jiribam may raise by tomorrow morning.
On the other hand, it is reported that IOC's Imphal depot has 9 days stock of petrol, 12 days stock of diesel, 10 days stock of kerosene and three days stock of LPG.
