Thoubal, January 03 2014 : Hb Beshol and Rt Hringshung, LK Chandani and Ps Jomhring were declared joint winners of the Late Ps Ningam Memorial Anal Akam dance competition held during the New Year celebration on Januray 1 at Oriental Academy in Chandel.

The second and third positions were bagged by a paired of Lk Khelthung with Wng Khitham and Hl Redeem with Lh Zakim respectively.

As a an important part of the New Year celebration, Riverline Village, on January 1, organized the competition which was sponsored by Kl Thumhring wife, in memory of her husband late Ps Nigam, who was the Chief of Riverline and Chairman of the Chandel Ex-servicemen Association.

Chief of Riverline, BD Thumdal in his speech stressed on the need to preserve and promote the Anal cultural dance which according to him is the identity of Anal people.

Kl Thumhring before giving away the prizes thanked all the competitors and the Village Authority of Riverline and the Church Board for organising the event.
