Red carpet rolled out for NDA graduate

Jodha Thongjaomayum who received the coveted President's Bronze Medal at the National Defence Academy (NDA) has been given a warm welcome at Kwakeithel Lamdong today.
Jodha received the bronze medal at the cadets' passing out ceremony of the 147th course of NDA on Saturday.
The 147th course was inducted in 2021 and cadets underwent a 3-year rigorous military training.
The reception programme at Kwakeithel Lamdong was organised by the RIMCO & RIMCOLLIAN, Rashtriya Indian Military College Dehradun Parents Association Manipur.
Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur Controller of Examination Oinam Joy Singh, retired Additional Director of Health Dr Heikham Kulla Singh, RIMC parents association's secretary Homendro and member Sarangthem Tomba among others attended the reception programme.
Jodha Thongjaomayum hails from Khurai Thoudam Leikai, Lamlong Bazar, Imphal East.
Jodha is 20 years old and is the son of Thongjaomayum Rosoraj and Thongjaomayum ongbi Chandramala Devi.
Speaking at the reception programme, the 20-year-old said his father is a school van driver and his mother runs a small shop at their house.
Jodha said he studied upto Class V at Tiny Tots' Unique School and then at Sainik School for about 2 years before getting admission at RIMC Dehradun.
After completing Class XII at RIMC, he cracked NDA in his first attempt, he said.
Jodha said he was able to crack NDA due to his parents' support, and gave them the credit for his success.
The RIMC parents' association wished him success in his future endeavors.
