BJP Government is anti-poor: CPI(M)

Suprakash Talukdar, central committee member of Communist Party of India (Marxist) has alleged the BJP led Government at the State and in the Centre for siding with big corporates and for being anti-poor.
He made the allegations at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club today and added that resolution to defeat BJP in the upcoming election has been taken at the 19th Manipur State Conference which was concluded yesterday.
Speaking to media, Suprakash Talukdar said the Government has been silent despite the prices of essential commodities including petroluem products have been rising incessantly.
He added that while the Country is reeling under poverty made worse by the pandemic, a number of public property have been sold to corprorate houses.
The pro-corporate agenda of the BJP Government is made clear from the fact that the number of billionaire in the Country have increased to 140 from 102 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Suprakash Talukdar also alleged the BJP Government of sidelining the development of the North Eastern States evident from the ever increasing number of unemployed youths in the region.
Speaking to the media, the newly appointed secretary of CPI (M) Manipur State Committee, Kshetrimayum Santa alleged the BJP Government for communal and divisive politics.
He further alleged that the Chief Minister of the State has been holding all the powers in the State leaving all the department powerless.
