The seed distribution was one of the many steps taken up by the KCP (MC) Nongdrenkhomba group to make Manipur a self sufficient State in the field of crop production.
KCP (MC) Nongdrenkhomba group is currently stationed at a temporary designated camp at Moirang Khunou.
Cadres of this outfit have taken up various developmental works like free medical camps, blood donation camps, on preservation of traditions and other educational works.
Moreover, the group is also working on many environmental preservation works like mass tree plantations in various parts of the State.
Commander in Chief of KCP (MC) Nongdrenkhomba Group, N Nongdrenkhomba stated that his comrades have been working very hard to save every penny they earn from works like carpentry, poultry, flower nursery, crop cultivation, cane and bamboo production which they have taken up in their designated camp, to conduct such functions which can benefit the people.
Clarifying that the group did not take any support or help from any organization or department of the State to organise such functions, Nongdrenkhomba said that people should learn to live an independent life and we should not depend on other States for food.
KCP (MC) Nongdrenkhomba Group believes that everyone must go hand in hand with farmers to realise any demand.
Various other plans and projects are in the offing for the benefit of the farmers' community, he added.
Further, he stated that the group never signed the MoU with the Central Government and Government of Manipur to receive any kind of benefit for themselves but for the benefit of all people.
"The group cannot be termed as a surrendered group.
They laid down arms for the cause of the public, as any movement cannot be fruitful without people's support," added Nongdrenkhomba.
