Dimapur, January 28 2014:
Formal peace talk between the NSCN-IM and the Government of India is likely to be held in the middle of February because of which the NSCN-IM is going to celebrate the outfit's foundation day called 'Raising Day' on January 31 without their chairmain Isak Chisi Swu and the outfit's general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah at Camp Hebron, off Dimapur as the two leaders are too busy to spare time to come back to Nagaland for the occasion.
A source disclosed that Swu and Muivah are too busy there in New Delhi as there is a likelihood of the resumption of formal peace talk in the middle of February.
"So they can spare no time to come to Nagaland this time," said the source.
A separate source from Delhi informed Newmai News Network that the formal parleys between the government of India and the NSCN-IM will be held soon.
However, the source did not precisely mention the time .
Back home here, another source from the NSCM-IM disclosed that the formal talks between Delhi and the Naga outfit are likely to be held within ten days.
Meanwhile, the 33rd 'Raising Day' of the NSCN-IM will be observed as of every year.
The source added that the convenor of NSCN-IM Steering Committee will grace the occasion.
It is worthwhile to recall here that the NSCN-IM leaders are in New Delhi since November 19 last year to resume the talks but after the series of informal meetings between the representatives of the government of India and the NSCN-IM, RS Pandey's joining to the fold of BJP has been the reason for the creation of the not-so-appealing ambience.
It can also be noted here that the media reports have been speculating that New Delhi may name as interlocutor from among the four personsAjit Lal, the present chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee, Lt.Gen.
(retd) RN Kapur, former Assam Police chief G.M.Srivastava, and a former special director of the Intelligence Bureau, and R.N.Ravi, who retired as Intelligence Bureau special director.
