Hunger Marchers' Day observed

The All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) Tengnoupal District Committee today observed the 57th Hunger Marchers' Day at the hall of Eastern Shine School in Moreh Ward No 7, Tengnoupal district.
It was attended by M Thoiba, president Meetei Council Moreh; Th Suresh, former president AMSU H/Q; N Tomba, president AMSU Tengnoupal District Committee and Th Ibemhal, president Kha Nongpok Apunba Nupi Lup Moreh as presidium members.
Members of Lainingthou Sanamahi Puya Santhok Lup (LSPSL), students and villagers of the area also took part in the event.

The participants also observed 2 minute silence and paid floral tributes to remember the martyrs of the 1965 movement to protest artificial famine.
AMSU District Committee Jiribam also observed the 57th Hunger Marchers' Day at its conference hall and paid floral tribute to the martyrs.
A two minutes silence was also observed by all those present as a mark of respect to the departed.
L Romen Singh, ex-president AMSU D/C; Thanil Thokchom, president AMSU District Committee Jiribam and N Sadananda Meitei, president Jiri Development Organization (JDO) as presidium members.
Similarly, 57th Hunger Marchers' Day was also observed today at Sofia English School, Thoubal.
