Imphal, August 25 2024: A free medical camp for internally displaced people (IDP) was held at the relief camp set up at Lamboikhongnangkhong yesterday.

The medical camp was organised under the supervision of MAHUD and RD&PR Minister Yumnam Khemchand.

Speaking to the media, Khemchand said that the camp was organised to provide free medical services to the victims of the violence taking refuge at Lamboikhongnangkhong.Saying that many of these IDPs can't even afford to buy medicines, the Minister reiterated that the camp was organised to address the grievances of the IDPs to some extent.

28 doctors and several nurses took part in the camp and the Health Department provided some medicines, he said and thanked all the medical practitioners for their service.
