138th Birth Anniversary of Rash Behari Bose celebrated

The 138th Birth Anniversary of Rash Behari Bose was celebrated today at INA War Museum cum Library, Moirang.
Rash Behari Bose was a prominent revolutionary leader who played a crucial role in the Indian Freedom Movement and the formation of Indian National Army (INA) .
He breathed his last at Tokyo in 1945.INA War Museum Cum Library Curator Dr Laishram Sadhana Devi event and office bearers of INA Advisory Committee Moirang graced as the presidium members of the event which was organised by INA War Museum cum Library, Moirang, Department of Art & Culture.
It is worth noting that the 138th Birth Anniversary of Rash Behari Bose was celebrated in virtual mode simultaneously at places visited by the revolutionary leader namely New Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan among others.
During the programme, the attendees paid floral tributes to the replica of Rash Behari Bose gifted by INA Veteran Lt R Madhavan Pillai and Vijay Patel of New Delhi.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr Laishram Sadhana Devi said that the event has been organised under the aegis of the Director, Art and Culture Department, Government of Manipur to commemorate the remarkable contributions of this eminent revolutionary leader on his birth anniversary.
She recounted that he made significant contributions in India's freedom movement though it was not widely acknowledged and read about his relations with Netaji Subhashchandra Bose from the biography of Rash Behari Bose.
