Imphal, June 24 2011: A 23 year old youth, namely Tumtin Shousan Koireng of Utonglok village under Saikul sub-division was found dead and his body was found floating on Iril river near Khewa Phurzu.

According to family members, Tumtin Shousan Koireng went out from home on June 15 at about 7 pm for evening walk but he never returned home since the day.

Suspecting that Tumtin Shousan Koireng was first beaten to dead before pushing the body into river, several organisations have condemned the incident.

The badly decomposed body has been pulled up Lamlai Police and deposited at JNIMS mortuary.

Meanwhile, a joint action committee christened JAC Against the Killing of T Shousan Koireng of Utonglok Village has been constituted.

The United Chingmi-Tammi Clubs Association, Pangei and the Imphal East United Clubs Organisation have strongly condemned the killing of Tumtin Shousan Koireng .

They have also pledged full support to any agitation that may be launched by the JAC.
