Around 17 drones hover over Kangchup

Imphal, January 24 2025: With around 17 drones hovering over Kangchup areas from 6.04 pm to 6.25 pm on January 23, people of the locality have been caught in a panicky situation.

It is suspected that the drones were operated by Kuki militants on reconnaissance and spying missions.

As such, the villagers now fear a fresh attack.

Speaking to The Sangai Express, some Meitei villagers of Kangchup decried the repeated provocation and aggression of Kuki narco-terrorists.

Around 17 drones hovered over the Meitei villages of Kangchup last night.

The sighting of such a large number of drones has evoked a deep fear of a major attack, the villagers said.

They also questioned the Government's inaction against the operation of drones and bombing from drones by Kuki narco-terrorists at their will.

Pointing out that a large number of Central forces are stationed near the Kuki villages of Kangchup area, the Meitei villagers further asked as to why the Central force did not stop the Kuki narco-terrorists from sending drones to Meitei villages with nefarious intention.

They asked the authority concerned to direct the Central forces to do their duties properly in a neutral manner.

They further appealed to the Govt to stop the Kuki narco-terrorists from provoking and threatening Meiteis in Kangchup area.
