Imphal, June 23 2014: Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Tamenglong district organised a one-day State training programme on sustainable agriculture production technique at the conference hall of Directorate of Agriculture, Sanjenthong today.

SAMETI Manipur Director M Gojendra, ATMA State Co-Ordinator Y Shyamkishore and Tamenglong District Project Director Y Shyam graced the opening function of the training programme as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

M Gojendra while speaking at the function stressed on the need to enhance production by introducing modern technology and advanced techniques in farming.

Similar training programmes for the farmers of all the nine districts of the State would be held one after another, he added.

At the technical session held later, K Devadutta Sharma, Dr M Thoithoi and Dr A Shureshkumar Sharma spoke on different topics.
