Thoubal, February 22 2015:
The selection test for the 2nd State level scholarship scheme, 2015 was aborted after some parents/guardians raised an uproar at Thoubal Waikhom Mani Girls College centre.
The selection test was being organised by Human Resource Centre, Nagamapal but the enraged parents/guardians alleged that there were serious discrepancies and loopholes in the process of conducting the test.
The morning session of the test was scheduled to begin from 10.30 am but the invigilators did not turn up at the centre on time.
Further, the parents/guardians alleged that the number of question papers they brought were not sufficient for the candidates.
Apart from certain errors in the question paper, a serious disagreement broke out between parents and invigilators which ultimately led to the abortion of the test.
The uproar was suppressed later when Thoubal police personnel intervened and arrested three representatives of HRC identified as, Sapam Budhamani, Keisham Promila and Keisham Ibohal.
To appear for the HRC organised test, a student is required to pay a sum of Rs 200 per subject as examination fee and an added Rs 20 for the form, the frustrated parents informed.
They have further called for refund of these amount with an added transportation charge of each student from the Centre.
The enraged parents/guardians have further demanded a formal apology from the centre addressed to the people of Thoubal district.
