Imphal, May 21 2015 :
The Manipur Naga People's Front (MNPF) has claimed hands in the blast that occurred at Naga People's Front (NPF) office located at Kamjong Block headquarters last night.
In a statement, Thomas Numai, assistant publicity secretary, MNPF said that the bomb was not triggered to frighten the people in connection with the ensuing ADC election.
The blast was triggered rather to stop the evil ploys of the NPF which in collusion with the NSCN-IM is involved in causing distress to the Nagas every election and sabotaging developmental projects in the State in the garb of championing the Nagas' cause.
The NSCN-IM has at one point of time boycotted elections saying the Nagas are not Indians.
They had harassed and killed several Nagas besides giving mental harassment to many.
The NSCN-IM had killed one Sha John Phaomai (32) s/o Pudar of Godang village, Tamenglong district on May 7, 2015 in the run up to Manipur ADC election 2015, it said.
They also assaulted one Daniel Lungleng at Ukhrul on May 19 .
Indian security agencies like SIB, NIA, security forces and the MHA are well aware of the involvement of NSCN-IM in threatening the Nagas through unlawful activities.
However, none of the NSCN-IM cadres involved in the acts were punished.
It is an evidence that Indian security forces support the unlawful activity being perpetrated against the Nagas, the outfit alleged.
