Jobs to victims' families

The SPF Cabinet has decided to provide Government jobs to a son and daughter-in-law of of PHED chowkidar (care-taker) Soram Ibomcha, who was killed after abduction by KCP-MTF (Kesho Meitei) group along with his son (Yaipu) some days back.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Cabinet today morning.
Speaking to reporters after the Cabinet meeting, SPF spokesperson N Biren stated that Ibomcha's daughter-in-law (Yaipu's wife) would be provided a suitable post in the Health Department while the victim's eldest son would be recruited as a police Constable.
He also informed that the Cabinet agreed on enrolling wife of Seram Yaima in the Public Works Department.
Yaima, who was an employee in the Works Department, succumbed to bomb splinter wounds in the explosion that took place inside the PWD office on December 14 .
Other Cabinet decisions include fresh recruitment of 140 MBBS doctors by relaxing ban on fresh appointments, regularisation of the post of finance, account, data and programme managers in the Ayush Department and extension of service of 278 MACS employees for a one year period, said Biren and added that providing performance-link allowances to the Government employees has also been approved by the Cabinet.
