Imphal, November 20 2021: A warm reception function was held today at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of BJP Manipur Pradesh here in honour of visiting Union Minister for Textiles, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Commerce & Industry Piyush Vedprakash Goyal.

Chief Minister N Biren, Works Minister Th Biswajit, CAF&PD Minister Th Satyabrata, Tourism Minister O Lukhoi and BJP Mani- pur Pradesh president A Sharda attended the reception function along with a number of BJP workers.

Speaking at the gathering, Chief Minister N Biren stated that Piyush Goyal's visit to the State would be a big moral booster to all BJP workers of the State.

Recalling that Piyush Goyal visited Manipur about four years and a half back at the time of formation of his Government, Biren said that he felt elated on the Union Minister's second visit.

He said that the Union Minister was coming to the State to review and supervise different projects being implemented in the State under the ministries of which he (Piyush Goyal) is in charge.

Piyush Goyal said that he was happy to visit Manipur again.

Saying that handloom and handicraft products and different other products of the artisans of Manipur are highly demanded outside the State, the Union Minister remarked that Manipur is a key State of the Northeast region.

He then credited BJP workers for peace, stability and good governance brought about by the BJP-led Government in the State.

He also called upon all BJP workers to work hard and ensure the party's victory in the coming years.
