Lamka, July 18 2014 : The Churachandpur District Disable Union (CDDU) has today censured the action of Handicapped Welfare Society, Kakching for collecting donation in the district in the guise of conducting survey.

A statement of the union said that the Society was granted permission by the Deputy Commissioner to conduct door to door survey, awareness and counseling (DDSAD) for a period of one week beginning July 1 .

However the Society indulged in collecting money and resorted to the same well after the permit period expired, bringing disgrace to the disable community and the CDDU in particular, it said.

The CDDU added that the Society collected money without issuing receipt and appealed to all concern remain alert of such unscrupulous society or individuals.

Further the union requested the authority concerned to inform or consult them in time when such cases related to the disabled come up to avoid similar unwanted incidents in future.
