NSCN-K sets record straight

The report that the Zeliangrong region of the NSCN (K) has merged with the NSCN (Reformation) and entered into a ceasefire pact with the Government of India is baseless and without foundation, said the chairman of NSCN (K) Zeliangrong region Aimson Dangmei.
This was stated by the chairman during an interaction with media persons at an undisclosed location in Tamenglong district.
He said that NSCN (K) is still active in Zeliangrong region.
Aimson further said that NSCN (K) Zeliangrong region would always follow the footsteps and ideology of their chief SS Khaplang.
He on behalf of all the cadres of Zeliangrong region also pledged to do whatever is needed towards achieving Naga sovereignty.
The cadres who do not have trust and loyalty of their leader have left the outfit and it was their decision, he added.
Aimson further stated that NSCN (K) Zeliangrong region would not remain as a mere spectator when other groups or people disturb them.
He also urged all concerned not to disturb them in their works.
Urging people to extend co-operation to their endeavour, Aimson said that the group has acknowledged the support of the public.
He said that NSCN (K) Zeliangrong region has appointed Gaidingam Kamei as their new information and publicity secretary.
