Imphal, June 17 2018: A lecture on Drug Abuse and Awareness was organised by Company Operating Base Sita of Tengnoupal Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) on 15 Jun 2018 .

The lecture was taken by para medical staff of Company Operating Base Sita at Sita Government High School as well at Sita village, Tengnoupal District.

A total strength of 52 including 11 villagers and 41 students attended the lecture.

Emphasis was given on hazardous effect of drug abuse on health and social life.

The students and villagers were educated about variopus types of drugs, their identification and their harmful effects.

Village authorities appreciated the efforts of Tengnoupal Battalion and pledged against Drug Trafficking and Illicit Drug Abuse.

The lecture culminated with an interaction of villagers and Assam Rifles personnel.
