Imphal, July 15 2024: A fire broke out at Prism Higher Secondary School, Naoremthong Bazar this morning.

Students were attending classes when the fire broke out at around 10.20 am.

As soon as the school authority came to know of the fire, the students were evacuated.

Some of the students fainted in the ensuing commotion and they were rushed to RIMS Hospital.

A team of Manipur Fire Service arrived in time and put off the fire before it caused any major damage.

It is suspected that the fire was caused by an electric short circuit.

Saying that the fire did not damage any classroom, the school authority has informed all students, parents and guardians that normal classes will continue as usual.
