Imphal, May 12 2017: As observed across the world, Nurses' Association TNAI, JNIMS Unit has observed the International Nurses' Day at the auditorium of JNIMS, Porompat.

The observance was graced by L Sushindro Meitei, Parliamentary secretary (Home), Dr Laishram Deben, Director, JNIMS, Prof L Ranbir, Medical Superintendent, JNIMS and P Landhoni Devi, Nursing Superintendent, JNIMS as presidium members.

Speaking at the programme, L Sushindro noted that both doctor and nurse should be regarded with equal respect.

"Any task that normal people would think twice before executing, nurses would willingly perform which should be appreciated.

Doctors should also attend such observance to acknowledge the contributions of the nurses," he said.

He added that the State Government has already started the repairing work of drainage system in JNIMS area.

Road leading to JNIMS will also be improved with separate lane for operating ambulance service.
