BOSEM Chairman announces plans to conduct HSLC exam early

Imphal, December 11 2024: For the welfare of the student community, efforts are underway to conduct the HSLC exam 2025 earlier than previously held, informed A Joykumar, Chairman, Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) .

Speaking to media persons during a press conference at the auditorium hall of BOSEM in Babupara, the Chairman stated that the form fill up of HSLC exam 2025 will begin from December 16 and that discussions are ongoing to conduct the matric exam during the second or third week of February next year.

Last year, the HSLC exam started on March 15 .

Subsequently, the results were declared a little late which reportedly caused inconveniences to many students.

To prevent such problems, BOSEM aims to conduct the matric exam earlier than usual and declare the results as soon as possible, he maintained.

Seeking the help and cooperation of school headmasters, principals and guardians to achieve this goal, he added that BOSEM has always tried to avoid disrupting the students' academic calendar.

Urging students to fill up their HSLC exam forms in a timely manner, he pointed out that there is a tendency to appeal for extension in form fill up period after the announcement of the exam schedule.

He also urged the State student bodies to help them conduct the exam efficiently.

On another note, he shared that BOSEM is leaving no stones unturned to supply books for the 2025-26 academic session to students on time.
