Eminent Kuki educationist passes away

Founder and former principal of Presidency College Motbung and Damdei Christian College, Henkholen Sitlhou passed away this morning around 6 am at Shija Hospital, Imphal.
Henkholen Sitlhou 86, was survived by his wife, Lewish, three sons and two daughters.
The mortal remains of the noted educationist Henkholen Sitlhou was brought at his Taloulong residence in Sadar Hills where thousands of people, his family members and relatives, near and dear ones from Nagaland, Assam and within Manipur, various civil bodies, students and teachers, social workers, Church leaders, village chiefs congregated to pay their last tribute.
Teaching staff and students of Damdei Christian College paid their last tribute there and later he was brought back at his residence.
Ngamthang Haokip, IFC Minister; Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills; members of ADC Sadar Hills, Chongpu Kipgen, MCS, CEO-SHADC,Kpi, Khaimang Chongloi, Secretary, KIM and others dignitaries attended the funeral ceremony.
Head of Khaochangbung (Sitlhou) family and Chief of Taloulong village Late Henkholen Sitlhou was born on July 1, 1927 at Sempang village in Tamenglong district.
In the meantime, Kuki Inpi Manipur, Thadou Kuki Literature Society and Kuki Students' Organisation, Sadar Hills have condoled the demise of Henkholen Sitlhou.
TKLS observed one minute silence in honour of the departed educationist at PK House, MG Avenue today.
KSO Sadar Hills feels very unfortunate to loss one such responsible and valuable person particularly for the student community and said he is the "Windows of Sadar Hills Education".
