Realising Dreams: Principals' Conclave

Imphal, May 09 2018: The path beyond the protected and insulated life of schools is full of challenges, with young children trying to make their way forward, often without guidance and support.

It is at this critical juncture in their growth path that the 10 Sector Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ IGAR (South) plans to step in as a facilitator to provide guidance and opportunities to these young brave hearts.

The initiative 'Realising Dreams' is centered around the pivotal role of School Principals without whose support this project cannot move forward.

As the children reach the senior classes of 11th and 12th standards, the Assam Rifles would conduct professional guidance and counseling workshops for them through their School Principals.

The initiative was taken up through the Principals' conclave conducted on 05 May 2018 at Somsai.

The initiative aims at realizing the dreams of the children by identifying their interests and nurturing their talent from the young age to ensure that they have a successful professional career ahead.

The one to one interaction with the school principals of secondary and higher secondary schools from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts, representing over 5000 students, would go a long way in shaping the future of youth from the hill district.

The principals expressed their gratitude towards the Assam Rifles for conducting such interaction and assured their support and efforts in providing better job opportunities to the youth.
