A high-risk pregnancy is one that threatens the health or life of the mother or her fetus.
As part of the camps which were organised by District Health Society, Bishnupur in association with Thanga and Karang PHCs and ICDS (Cell) Moirang Block, an awareness programme for ASHA and Anganwadi workers of Thanga PHC was also conducted in the presence of Maternal Health Manipur, State Nodal Officer, Dr Meena Seram and special volunteer, Dr James Elangbam.

The camps also aim at identifying high-risk pregnancies in the area to give them proper treatment for safe delivery, she added.
